Historic Salem, in the heart of Harrisburg, seeks the Holy Spirit's guidance in welcoming all people to worship God; by encouraging participation in the ministry of Christ through Christian outreach to the city's heart.
About Us
As Harrisburg's first church, built in 1787, we have stressed our historic past by participating ecumenically with many diverse denominations over the years. We serve our community in the present by welcoming many older persons who live in the area and cannot attend their own church any longer. We care about the future by housing a high school performing arts school, Capital Area School for the Arts (CASA) http://casa.caiu.org/ in our church and housing the Bethany Counseling Ministry, a UCC related family ministry program.
